Hoverboards get a bad rap for having meltdowns and bursting into flames. That’s because many hoverboards did not have their electrical systems tested for fire safety.

The Segway miniPRO is the first two-wheel scooter, before any hoverboard, to be UL 2272 Certified for high standards of electrical and fire safety. While hoverboards rushed to the market with dangerous hardware, we took the time to deliver an electric scooter that was met high standards of safety.
